Educational Support Manager
Universal Edutainment is seeking a full-time Educational Support Manager to support school music programs by helping educators identify the services, instructional materials, workshops, consultations, and custom arrangements that best meet their program needs.
This role serves as a direct support point for band directors, music teachers, fine arts leaders, and school programs. Similar to the way educational representatives help schools make informed decisions about instruments, equipment, and resources, the Educational Support Manager will help teachers understand Universal Edutainment’s offerings, assess program needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and guide each school through the process from initial inquiry to final delivery.
A major responsibility of this position includes overseeing the team of arrangers. The Educational Support Manager will coordinate arrangement requests, communicate project details, assign projects, track deadlines, manage revisions, and help ensure that final products are aligned with the needs of each director, ensemble, and program.
## Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with music educators to understand their program goals, ensemble needs, instrumentation, ability level, timeline, and budget.
- Recommend appropriate Universal Edutainment services, including custom arrangements, instructional materials, consultation services, professional development, and workshops.
- Guide teachers through service selection, project planning, purchasing steps, and final delivery.
- Serve as the main communication bridge between clients, arrangers, consultants, clinicians, and Universal Edutainment leadership.
- Oversee the arranger team by assigning projects, tracking progress, managing revisions, and monitoring deadlines.
- Review arrangement requests to ensure all necessary details are complete before work begins.
- Coordinate custom music arrangements, instructional resources, workshops, clinics, and professional development services.
- Maintain organized records of client needs, service requests, project timelines, deliverables, and follow-up communication.
- Support client satisfaction by ensuring that materials and services are practical, timely, and aligned with each teacher’s goals.
- Assist with outreach to school music programs, band directors, fine arts departments, and educational partners.
- Travel as needed to support schools, attend meetings, provide on-site consultation, assist with workshops, or represent Universal Edutainment at program-related events.
## Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education.
- Experience as a band director, assistant band director, music teacher, instructional coach, music program coordinator, or arts administrator.
- Experience coordinating custom music arrangements, instructional resources, workshops, clinics, or professional development services.
- Strong understanding of school instrumental music programs, especially band programs.
- Experience working with music educators, school programs, students, or arts education organizations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to speak professionally with teachers, school leaders, and educational partners.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and client needs at once.
- Ability to oversee creative teams, including arrangers, consultants, clinicians, or project-based contractors.
- Familiarity with marching band, concert band, instructional materials, music arranging, workshops, and school music program operations.
- Comfortable using email, shared documents, spreadsheets, project management tools, and digital communication platforms.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed in accordance with the needs of the programs served.
## Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education, Music Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
- Familiarity with school purchasing processes, educational service proposals, and program planning.
- Experience managing arrangers, clinicians, consultants, or creative contractors.
- Strong relationship-building skills with educators, administrators, and community partners.
## Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate understands both the artistic and practical realities of school music programs. This person knows that every band director is trying to solve real problems: limited time, uneven instrumentation, varying student ability levels, budget constraints, performance pressure, and the responsibility of creating meaningful experiences for students.
